Job summary

Walter Surface Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Industrial Engineer to analyze manufacturing processes and apply LEAN methods on the production floor, collaborating with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities include data collection, bottleneck analysis, and supporting 5S and standard work initiatives while contributing to cost and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience; internships preferred.
• Excellent Excel and data-analysis skills.
• Clear communication, problem solving, and prioritization on the production floor.
• Eagerness to dive into complex topics with or without a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support Lean initiatives including 5S, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction.
• Assist with facility layout, workstation design, material flow, ergonomics, capacity planning, and staffing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, reports, dashboards, and project tracking tools.
• Support new equipment, product, and process launches; validate improvements and sustain results.
• Collaborate with ERP system (Dynamics 365) to align processes with business goals.
