Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in Decorah, IA, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead identification of bottlenecks and apply lean principles to improve product flow and reduce WIP. You will manage IE operators and technicians, provide direction, and build capability and performance across the site.

Key duties include leading 5S, standard work, visual management, value stream mapping, and Kaizen initiatives to drive waste elimination and productivity gains, plus developing capacity models and time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methods.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead site lean activities such as 5S, standard work, visual management to reduce waste.
• Develop CI culture by guiding facility leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and flow.
• Lead CI projects across manufacturing and office functions to achieve savings.
• Develop detailed plans, drive performance, and ensure timely completion of improvements.
• Design equipment layouts, workflows, and safety measures to maximize utilization.
• Own equipment CAPEX projects, including vendor selection and procurement.
• Collaborate with Operations to map a continuous improvement roadmap.
• Lead capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
