Job summary

Universal Stainless is seeking an Industrial Engineer/Analyst in Bridgeville, PA to develop data and analytical systems supporting steel manufacturing process improvement. The role emphasizes Lean principles, continuous improvement, and reporting to management at all levels.

The position requires contributing to productivity, quality, and safety initiatives while partnering with plant leaders to implement sustainment strategies across shifts.

Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing knowledge, theories, standards, and tools.
• Leadership/Management of Personnel Resources—training and coaching plant personnel to achieve savings.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and build cross-team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reports to improve productivity and overall quality.
• Use existing data systems to enable technical analysis of each process.
• Apply SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Conduct data analysis with Automation Engineers to support data collection.
• Provide training and support to end users.
• Investigate new technologies to add value to operations.
• Troubleshoot and improve databases and software.
• Provide occasional off-hour and fill-in support.
• Support plant personnel in data observation, recording, and reporting.
