Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work in a fast-paced environment. The role involves cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Program Management, Logistics, Production Control, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing to implement Lean strategies and drive process improvements.

The engineer will develop manufacturing methods, evaluate tooling and equipment, and ensure quality through testing methodologies and standard work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Aero or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of work experience in aircraft/related fields.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement.
• Experience with PLM software.

Responsibilities

• Act as a First Responder for production to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the manufacturing process.
• Troubleshoot design difficulties with operators during manufacturing and prevent recurrence.
• Improve processes and tooling to reduce ergonomic issues and increase production efficiency.
• Develop and maintain specialty tools to support production flow.
• Interface with quality, engineering and production to integrate new products or processes.
• Lead cross-departmental process-improvement projects and Kaizen events.
• Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods and establishing standards.
