Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation in New Jersey is seeking a Continuous Improvement Supervisor to lead a dedicated on-site manufacturing floor team of 10–12 technicians. The role focuses on direct people management, daily execution, and implementing Lean improvements to keep production running smoothly.

You will apply tools like 5S, Kaizen and root cause analysis to reduce waste, improve safety and quality (ISO/GMP), and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Lean production certification; Six Sigma Green Belt or above preferred.
• Experience leading cross-department lean improvement projects (e.g., 5S, TPM, VSM, SMED, standardized work).

Responsibilities

• Direct, on-site team management of 10–12 technicians and floor specialists.
• Cultivate an engaging workplace culture to minimize turnover and drive retention.
• Balance workload distribution, shift handovers, and resource management for sustained performance.
• Supervise daily molecular biology production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and output targets (ISO/GMP).
• Utilize Lean tools to streamline workflow and reduce waste on the floor.
