Qualifications

• Strong hands-on carpentry skills with accurate layout.
• Able to build a square, repeatable fixture from a dimensioned sketch.
• Broad practical repair and fabrication skills.
• Able to diagnose issues and make durable repairs.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with production leads.
• 5S and organized workplace practices.
• Document setup, use, and reset procedures with operators.

Responsibilities

• Observe work at the station and identify time losses.
• Measure parts and work areas, read drawings, prepare cut lists, and select materials.
• Build and repair jigs, fixtures, benches, and tool boards.
• Check fit against drawings and ensure repeatability.
• Build line-side carts, crates, and component cradles in build order.
• Fabricate crates, skids, and packing hardware to specs.
• Follow approved designs and obtain engineering review for load-bearing equipment.
• Trial builds with operators and adjust designs based on feedback.
• Record final dimensions and materials for reproducibility.
