Job summary

FC Industries Inc. in Dayton, OH seeks a Lean Engineer to lead continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will drive productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, TPM, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Proven record of cost reduction achievements.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Experience managing multi-site improvement initiatives preferred.
• Low/high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain Value Stream Maps.
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Reduce changeover times utilizing SMED methodologies.
• Develop a system to capture, educate operators to record/reduce Scrap
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Facilitate root cause analysis investigations.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures.
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
• Track and report KPI improvements.
• Train employees on Lean tools and methodologies.
• Maintain a strong floor presence
• Experience in TPM and reliability programs related to maintenance PM’s
