Job summary

FC Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lean Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our BarSplice manufacturing operations in Dayton, Ohio. You will lead Kaizen events, map value streams, and cut waste while improving quality and OEE.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, standard work, and staff coaching. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing process improvement, a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, and a track record of cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Proven track record in manufacturing process improvement and cost reduction.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain Value Stream Maps.
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Reduce changeover times utilizing SMED methodologies.
• Capture and reduce Scrap; educate operators.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Facilitate root cause analysis investigations.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
• Track and report KPI improvements; train staff on Lean tools.
