Job summary

RLG Healthcare is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Press (Digital and Flexo) and Hand Bindery (Finishing) departments in Garner, NC. The role focuses on strategic and day-to-day leadership to maximize productivity, meet schedules, and minimize costs, while upholding company policies.

You will guide leads and operators, coordinate daily production activities, and drive continuous improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality finished goods on time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5-7 years in operations/production management; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in printing or packaging; pharmaceutical environment preferred.
• Strong leadership to inspire and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical packaging.
• Excellent communication and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with commitment to quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to leads and operators in Press (Digital and Flexo) and Hand Bindery (Finishing).
• Coordinate day-to-day production activities to maximize productivity and meet schedules.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
• Set clear performance objectives aligned with company goals.
• Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and support to production staff.
• Manage resources including staffing, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and quality.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with regulations and company protocols.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Generate and analyze reports on production metrics and quality performance.
• Develop and execute department production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
• Collaborate with Quality to maintain rigorous quality control of finished goods.
• Ensure adherence to budgetary requirements and goals.
