Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator for 1st shift in Sedalia, MO. The role drives the transition from batch to Lean/SPS manufacturing, removing waste and improving throughput while coordinating with the Continuous Improvement Manager.

You will employ kaizen events, 5S, Six-Sigma, and standard work to sustain gains, with a focus on safety, training, and process mapping across the facility.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to develop valuable process maps.
• Ability to manage assigned projects.
• Willingness to take risks on solutions and decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively facilitate and communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Must be results oriented, energetic, proactive, a team player, with the ability to think conceptually and strategically.
• Ability to effectively present information to varying groups of associates.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives that integrate Lean/SPS throughout the facility.
• Contribute to productivity, inventory, quality, throughput goals.
• Support the 5S process within the facility.
• Assist training plans to enable Lean/SPS knowledge across associates.
• Maintain safe operations and report hazards.
• Boost equipment efficiency via 5S, TPM and lean initiatives.
• Meet performance requirements set by the Manager.
• Assist with housekeeping and other duties as directed.
• Ability to work overtime as requested.
