Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing for assigned value streams onsite in Holliston, MA. You will drive lean initiatives, standardize processes, and manage training, safety, and KPIs while collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.

The role demands 5–10 years in manufacturing supervision, a strong lean/CI background, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, or relevant equivalent course of study.
• 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing supervision.
• Demonstrated and applied knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Industry experience in fabrication/machining environment.
• Managerial courage with interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Conflict management/resolution experience.
• Detail-oriented, self-assured and tactful.
• Mechanical background and FLOW Manufacturing knowledge.
• Six Sigma and Kaizen knowledge.
• Consumer Products industry experience and SAP familiarity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all elements of the manufacturing process for assigned value streams.
• Establish and enforce operating policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Develop strategy and execution for value stream growth and standard work for supervisors.
• Oversee training across direct reports; manage skill gaps and cross-training.
• Drive lean culture, process development and improvements in material flow.
• Monitor safety, quality, and cost KPIs; report to leadership weekly.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on manufacturability and launches.
• Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, scrap, and BOM yield.
• Lead near miss, accident investigations and corrective actions.
