Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health seeks a Continuous Improvement Analyst to lead and coach teams in identifying improvement opportunities, assessing performance, tracking metrics, and applying quality improvement methods. You will support projects under the Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce grant to develop processes and increase efficiency.

This is a one-year temporary contract with benefits.

Qualifications

  • Two years of professional experience in lean CI, performance management, QA, program evaluation, or project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration, health care administration, or related field.
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Immunizations within one month of hire for vaccine-preventable illnesses.
  • Must possess or have reliable transportation at the time of hire.
  • Master’s degree in public health, business administration, health care administration, or related field valuing the candidate.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Three or more years of professional experience leading projects related to lean continuous improvement, performance management, quality assurance, and/or program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage projects and workgroups across the department that support a culture of quality and organizational excellence.
  • Support the department’s performance management system that improves program linkages, reporting, and decision-making using performance indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to engage teams in problem-solving, performance evaluation, and continuous quality improvement to support grant objectives.
  • Provide project management support to help teams manage timelines, tasks, performance measures, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct and facilitate quality improvement activities: identify gaps, gather/analyze data, identify root causes, apply lean tools, implement action plans, track results.
  • Use Microsoft tools, automation, and AI to standardize and centralize operational processes for efficiency.
