Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is seeking a production support specialist to design and build manufacturing aids and equipment. You will collaborate with internal customers and engineers to meet production goals, apply Lean MBPS principles, and drive continuous improvement across body, paint, and assembly operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with hand and powered tools, ability to read plans, and a focus on eliminating waste in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience; OR relevant certificate and 1+ years of experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years of relevant experience; OR relevant certificate and 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production aids and equipment (carts, racks, jigs/fixtures, tool holders).
• Collaborate with engineers and MPS experts to fulfill project requests.
• Use data to evaluate situations and implement measurable improvements.
• Operate powered tools and equipment and computerized machines to produce components.
• Support 5S and CIP, standardization initiatives.
