Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to design and build production aids such as carts, racks, jigs, and fixtures for Body, Paint, and Assembly operations. You will work with engineers and MPS experts to deliver equipment that meets production goals and apply Lean principles to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, hands-on machining and welding as needed, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience or relevant certificate with 1+ years experience
• Able to perform essential functions of the job
• Experience with hand tools and powered tools required

Responsibilities

• Design and build manufacturing aids and equipment (carts, racks, jigs/fixtures, tool holders)
• Collaborate with engineers and MPS experts to fulfill project requests
• Use data to evaluate situations and drive measurable improvements
• Operate tools and machines to produce project components
• Support 5S and CIP initiatives and standardization efforts
