Job summary
AWS/CES in Lansing, MI is seeking a CI Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement in automotive manufacturing. Reporting to the CI Manager, you will lead cross-functional projects, apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and develop standardized processes to boost productivity and quality.
The role emphasizes data analysis, ERP-driven reporting, and hands-on process engineering in Die Cast and CNC areas, with travel as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably automotive.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Plex, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in manufacturing operations.
- Lead CI initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving quality, lowering costs, and increasing productivity.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
- Analyze production workflows and develop process maps and standardized work instructions.
