Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a Lean Cell / Manufacturing Operator in Simsbury, CT to assemble and package Electronic Detonators. You will support waste reduction, quality, productivity and safety within manufacturing, coordinating with maintenance and MQEs.

The role requires soldering, assembly, inspection, and basic maintenance tasks, with training provided for soldering certification; shift work includes 3rd shift and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English, perform basic math and to learn SAP functions.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• Ability to obtain a certification for soldering (in house training and certification process is provided)
• Must be able to work 3rd shift and rotating weekends.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Sedentary work for majority of the day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and package Electronic Detonators and solder wires to harnesses.
• Manufacture electronic assemblies and verify product counts per specifications.
• Complete inspection steps for materials used in assembly of detonators.
• Perform tooling changes, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain neat, clean and orderly work area with traceability to raw materials.
• Tape finished boxes, prepare in trays and strap as needed.
• Reconcile discrepancies in SAP.
• Communicate with MQEs and Maintenance to assist with mechanical issues.
