Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking an Assembly Supervisor in Dayton, OH to lead and direct assembly operations, champion Lean initiatives, and collaborate with engineering and materials teams to optimize performance and output. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of supervisory experience, strong Lean, SAP experience, and solid project management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing methodologies and problem-solving.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and production planning tooling.

Responsibilities

Supervise and schedule assembly operations, including headcount and workflow.
Implement Lean principles (5S, Kanban, VSM) to improve output.
Ensure quality and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Collaborate with Engineering and Materials to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
Lead meetings and report on order status and deadlines.
Investigate inventory discrepancies with root-ccause analysis.
Support continuous improvement and training programs.
Ensure timely delivery of finished goods across departments.
