Job summary

Juniper Landscaping, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Leadman Install to join our installation team. This role reports to the foreman during absences and develops toward becoming a Landscape Construction Foreman, supporting the crew on projects from planting to irrigation.

Requirements include supervisory experience and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; knowledge of landscape plants, grading, sod, drainage, irrigation, and outdoor endurance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising landscape crews on install projects.
• Valid driver's license required for job-site travel.
• Knowledge of plants, grading, sod, drainage and irrigation.
• Willingness to work outside in extreme temperatures and sun.

Responsibilities

• Plant trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds as directed.
• Lay sod and install pavers, stone walls, and hardscape features.
• Install mulch and drainage/irrigation components.
• Dig trenches and holes and prep soil areas.
• Lead and direct the crew during projects and foreman absences.
• Use hand tools and power equipment for landscape installation.
• Move soil, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Raleigh, NC 27603, Job Category: Technical Labor, Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Leadman Install to join our installation team. This position will work alongside the landscape construction/install crew and will handle temporary supervisory duties during the foreman’s absence. This is a development role toward becoming a Landscape Construction Foreman with our team.

Responsibilities

• Planting trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds
• Laying sod
• Installing pavers, stone walls, and hardscape projects
• Installing mulch
• Irrigation/sprinkler installation
• Digging trenches and holes
• Prepping soil areas for plantings
• Hand-watering
• Moving soil, equipment, and materials
• Leading and directing the crew as needed
• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform landscape installation/construction duties
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements

• Supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Experience with landscape construction projects
• Knowledge of landscape plants, grading, sod installation, drainage work, and irrigation
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment needed for landscape construction projects
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
