Job summary

SUBWAY is seeking a Leadership Trainee in the United States to support guest experience, food preparation, and store operations. The role involves cascading training to Sandwich Artists, scheduling staff, managing inventory, ensuring equipment works, and completing paperwork as needed.

You'll work full or part time across day/evening/weekend shifts, with opportunities for discounts, scholarships, university credits, and hands-on experience in a restaurant business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities

• Scheduling and supervising staff

• Practicing inventory control standards

• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift

• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
