Job summary

Subway is seeking a Leadership Trainee in Farmington, CT to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, and team collaboration. You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, schedule staff, and oversee inventory controls while ensuring equipment is running smoothly.

This is a role with pathway to leadership and hands-on restaurant experience. Prerequisites include a high school diploma and at least 1 year in a restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and maintain a clean, functional restaurant environment.
• Lead and cascade training to Sandwich Artists on responsibilities and standards.
• Schedule, supervise staff, and practice inventory control standards.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order during shifts and handle required paperwork.

Job description

As part of the Subway Team, you as a Leadership Trainee will focus on six main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful

• Being a team player

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
