This role will support both the SMC Leadership and STAY FLY programs. Reporting to the SMC Leadership Program Manager and STAY FLY Programs Manager, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for direct service and supporting all functions of running effective and efficient programs. This position will be responsible for coordinating all program activities for the Leadership and STAY FLY programs, managing data entry, and helping to deliver FLY’s STAY FLY curriculum for transition-aged youth (18-25) in the county jails. The ideal candidate is passionate about social and racial justice, youth development and youth voice, and inspiring youth and young adult adults to transform the systems that impact them. They will demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage collaborative projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have a connection to the San Mateo County community and will be familiar with local community based organizations. They will have strong organizational skills and be confident in supporting youth leadership development and facilitating discussion-based curriculum with Transition‑Aged Youth (TAY).
