Genworth is seeking a Manager, Virtualization & Digital Workspace Platforms in Richmond, VA. This role leads a small team responsible for virtualization, Citrix, and Azure-based end‑user computing, balancing engineering depth with people leadership.
You will drive platform strategy, incident management, and modernization efforts, partnering across IT to deliver secure, scalable solutions that align with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT/engineering.
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud technologies.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or infrastructure operations.
- Strong experience with Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, CVAD, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of virtualization and cloud engineers, setting priorities and expectations.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and operational support of virtualization platforms.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure availability, performance, and resiliency.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management for critical issues.
- Drive modernization, automation, and cost optimization in cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Collaborate with security and architecture teams to meet governance requirements.
