Job summary

The YMCA of South Palm Beach County is seeking an Adaptive Programs Coordinator to provide visionary leadership for Adaptive Afterschool, Summer Camp, Holiday Camp, and future adaptive recreation initiatives.

You will develop innovative programs, build partnerships, support fundraising, mentor staff, and expand inclusive opportunities for children and teens with diverse abilities throughout South Palm Beach County.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required or able to obtain
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Ability to operate a YMCA 14-passenger vehicle (CDL preferred but not required)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
• Patience, professionalism and sound judgement in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Adaptive Afterschool, Summer Camp, Holiday Camp and future adaptive programming.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, mentor, coach, supervise and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Build relationships with participants, parents, caregivers and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA, DCF, transportation and risk management standards.
• Coordinate transportation, field trips and special events.
• Develop new adaptive recreation, educational, wellness and life-skills programs.
• Evaluate programs using enrollment trends and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Association Development team for data and grant support.
• Support Annual Campaign and fundraising through donor engagement.
• Assist in developing and monitoring department budgets and partnerships.
