Job summary

Fairweather, LLC is seeking a Head of Blockchain Engineering to steer the development of a ZK-native, privacy-preserving Layer 2 infrastructure and zkEVM-based ledger. You will own the end-to-end stack from protocol design to production rollout, and partner with cryptography and product teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

The role requires 15+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in leading blockchain/L2 infra teams, with strong Rust/Solidity or zk circuit language skills

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience in blockchain/infra roles.
• At least 4 years leading blockchain/L2 infra teams.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and Solidity and zk circuit languages.
• Experience with Ethereum, rollups, and zkEVM mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical stack from protocol design to production rollout.
• Own Layer 2 rollup and zkEVM architecture with privacy guarantees.
• Mentor and manage a multi-domain engineering team.
• Drive sequencing, DA layers, rollup tooling, and bridging decisions.
• Collaborate with cryptography and product teams to ensure delivery.
