Job summary

Renown Health in Nevada seeks an Advanced Wound Care Specialist-RN to lead wound/ostomy services for inpatients and outpatients. You will coordinate care, provide patient education, and support staff with current standards in wound/ostomy care.

The role requires a BSN, Nevada RN license, BLS, and relevant wound care certifications, with the ability to educate families and collaborate across disciplines to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required within 3 years of hire.
• Two years of general nursing experience and clinical nursing experience required.
• State of Nevada RN license required.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association at time of hire.
• Certification in wound, continence and/or ostomy within 3.5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the care of wound/ ostomy / incontinence / fistulas.
• Maintains interdisciplinary communication with health professionals.
• Coordinates in-services to promote current standards related to wound/ ostomy care.
• Provide expert oversight and recommendations of wound and ostomy care.
• Educate patients and families on wound care best practices.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to optimize care.
• Research and guide the organization on best-practices and workflows.
• Act as liaison between clinical settings.
