Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks a Workforce Specialist in Summerville, SC to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, oversee the Work Activity Center, and ensure quality services.

Responsibilities include ensuring active treatment, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to DPH and DOL regulations while promoting dignity and respect for all

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in disability services.
Bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.
Valid Driver's License is required.
Knowledge of federal/state regulations for ICF-IID and related directives.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Work Activity Center and assess program quality.
Supervise Workforce Specialists I and DSPs in the Day Program areas.
Monitor documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain a clean, safe environment with accountable practices and respectful care.
Ensure compliance with Agency/Office, DPH, and DOL regulations.
Attend ISP meetings and scheduled business meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
