Starr Insurance in New York is seeking a proactive Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our commercial insurance team. This role supports the GC and Global Compliance Director and collaborates with underwriting to deliver practical regulatory expertise focused on Workers’ Compensation.

You will ensure adherence to laws, lead market conduct efforts, manage data reporting to regulators, and train colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of Workers’ Compensation regulatory compliance experience.
• Experience with multiple state rules across lines of business.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across systems, products, and processes.
• Serve as Workers’ Compensation subject matter expert and advise other lines as needed.
• Develop and implement market conduct strategies and conduct audits.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting with Legal, IT, operations and claims.
• Train business areas on regulatory requirements and maintain documentation.
