Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a California Workers’ Compensation Claims Team Lead to supervise a team of claims examiners and technical staff across multiple CA locations, including Riverside. You’ll monitor workloads, provide training, and guide adjudication on complex, high-exposure claims while maintaining client relationships.

The ideal candidate has California WC claims experience and prior supervisory success, with a focus on process improvement, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: Bachelor’s degree preferred; licenses as required; SIP certification required or obtainable within 1 year.
• Experience: Six (6) years of California workers compensation claims management experience; two (2) years of supervisor experience.
• Licensing/Jurisdiction Knowledge: California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification or equivalent within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of workers compensation claims examiners and technical staff.
• Identifies trends and issues; communicates with management; supports process improvement.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction on claims adjudication and diary maintenance.
