Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Team Lead for California workers’ compensation claims. You will supervise a team of examiners and technical staff, provide guidance on complex adjudications, and ensure compliance with CA WC procedures.

The role supports multiple California office locations in a hybrid setup. The ideal candidate has strong CA WC claims knowledge, supervisory experience, and the ability to mentor staff while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Licenses as required.
• Six years of California workers' compensation claims management experience, including two years supervising.
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification required or to be obtained within one year.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of workers compensation claims examiners and technical staff.
• Identifies trends and issues; recommends actions and coordinates with management projects.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Reviews reserves and data; ensures documentation and compliance with standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues.
