Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior People Operations and Systems Generalist to own Workday processes and data across the People Ops function in San Francisco. You will translate business needs into well-designed workflows, manage semi-annual Workday releases, and collaborate with internal teams on larger integrations.

You’ll also create lightweight tools using no-code/low-code platforms, maintain data integrity, and support compliance with People Ops policies while enabling scale.

Qualifications

• Deep functional expertise in Workday HCM with end-to-end process ownership.
• 5+ years in People Ops or systems adjacent teams at fast-paced, scaling orgs.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets including v-lookup and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional Workday expert for the People Ops team, owning process design from requirements through configuration, testing, and post-launch iteration.
• Own configuration, testing, and rollout for semi-annual Workday releases; identify simplification opportunities.
• Partner with Workday Product Analyst on larger projects and integrations.
• Stand up simple ad hoc tools to close process gaps; escalate to internal systems for true development.
• Prototype and build People Ops tools and automations using Lovable and Claude.
