Job summary

The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is seeking a Principal Program Assessment Analyst in Workday Financial Data Management to support technology-driven payroll and financial operations. This role focuses on solution development, testing, and assuring internal controls within the Workday environment.

Under Finance leadership, you will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance efficiency, ensure GAAP and GASB compliance, and manage ERP configurations across modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Seven years of experience in administrative or professional work.
• Certification in Workday Time Financial Management, or an equivalent.
• Proven Workday expertise in Accounting and Financial Data Management in ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to create and test system solutions.
• Workday configuration experience across multiple modules.
• Familiarity with government accounting processes and system integrations.
• Experience collaborating across functions to drive technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and implement solutions for the Grant, Projects and Financial Accounting workstreams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, creating and recommending solutions.
• Test, document, and validate system enhancements for integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with Accounting Managers, Grants Management and other leads for changes.
• Monitor production updates and address post-implementation issues.
• Attend update meetings with agencies and internal teams.
• Provide guidance and technical support to end-users, ensuring alignment with operations.
