Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Windows Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud-hosted Windows environments for mission-critical federal applications.

You will build VMs, images, and automation to provision Windows workloads, configure identity, networking, storage, and monitoring, and ensure security, availability, and cost efficiency across complex deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7+ years of Windows system administration with cloud experience (Azure/AWS).
• Strong proficiency in Windows servers in cloud environments (image management, patching, hardening).
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, logging, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer Windows server instances in public or private cloud platforms.
• Design and implement cloud networking constructs (virtual networks, subnets, load balancers).
• Automate Windows deployment and configuration with scripting and IaC tools.
• Integrate Windows with directory services and identity providers with appropriate access controls.
• Monitor and tune Windows systems to maintain performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps, and applications teams to integrate Windows services into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and support backup, recovery, and DR processes for Windows workloads.
