Job summary

ASM Research seeks a Cloud Engineer - Windows to design, implement, and support cloud-hosted Windows server environments for federal applications. You will build VMs, images, and automation to provision Windows workloads securely and cost-effectively.

The role requires Windows server administration in cloud platforms, scripting with PowerShell or Python, and IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. Citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/engineering.
• 4–7+ years of Windows admin experience.
• Experience with Azure/AWS and cloud platforms.
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, logging, monitoring.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer Windows server instances in cloud platforms.
• Design and implement cloud networking (VNet/subnets/load balancers).
• Automate Windows deployment using scripting or IaC tools.
• Integrate Windows with directory services and access controls.
• Monitor and optimize Windows systems for performance and cost.
• Collaborate with security/DevOps to integrate Windows workloads.
• Support backup, recovery, and DR for Windows workloads.
• Maintain docs, runbooks, and diagrams of architectures.
