Lead InstallerCompensation
This position offers a base hourly pay ranging from $27.19 to $48.95, plus a period incentive of up to $770, paid in addition to base pay. Base pay is determined by experience, education, location, certifications, and other factors.
Role Summary / Responsibilities
The Lead Installer is responsible for window and door installation at a single job site, ensuring customer satisfaction and managing all aspects of the installation process. Duties include:
- Pre‑arrival planning for materials and resources.
- Confirming measurements of windows and doors before work commences.
- Performing routine to complex window and door installations.
- Shutting down the work site properly at job completion.
- Providing direction and training to other installers in accordance with Renewal by Andersen's guidelines.
Construction Aptitude
- Understand variations in wall materials and thickness.
- Know different types of casings or sill constructions.
- Address changes from house settling.
- Resolve unforeseen structural damage.
Soft Skills
- Take time to get to know homeowners.
- Explain the work process throughout the day.
- Answer homeowner questions promptly.
- Request online reviews upon job completion.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of window installation and remodeling experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years managing job sites and leading crews in a construction environment (preferred).
- Ability and willingness to coach and mentor other installers.
- Proven track record of superior workmanship.
- Scheduled availability to work when homeowners are available (7 a.m.–7 p.m.).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Effective communication skills with peers and homeowners.
- Diplomatic approach to confrontation and conflict, maintaining perspective under demanding conditions.
- Strong organization and task‑planning abilities.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment.
- Empathy and customer service skills.
- Sense of accountability and teamwork.
- Diagnostic skills for assessment, problem solving, and decision making.
