Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is Germany’s largest Independent Service Provider for Wind Turbine Generators. With US operations since 2018 and HQ in Houston, TX, we seek a Major Component Exchange Engineer to oversee MCE projects from assessment through closeout, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

You will lead technical planning, define scope, tooling and rigging, and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, Procurement and site teams to deliver successful MCE projects across Vestas

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in wind industry with MCE or major component experience.
• Experience planning, supervising and engineering MCE projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical planning and field execution of MCE projects, ensuring safety and quality.
• Develop and review work instructions, lift sequences, tooling lists and execution packages.
• Define tooling, rigging, and crane requirements for successful MCE execution.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, Procurement and site teams.
• Interpret condition monitoring data and field results to guide decisions and documentation.
