Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience conducting wildlife field surveys and reporting.
• Experience leading field efforts and following survey protocols.
• Ability to guide agencies/clients through environmental processes for permitting.
• Experience with planning for transportation and energy projects.
• Strong technical/report writing skills; writing samples available.
• Excellent analytical reasoning and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biological field surveys including habitat and wildlife delineations.
• Provide NEPA environmental planning expertise for federal agencies.
• Lead client-facing environmental planning activities for renewables, oil & gas, and transportation projects.
• Coordinate state and local permitting in CO and surrounding states.
• Prepare desktop issues analyses and technical reports.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project scopes and budgets.
• Lead and manage preparation of environmental documentation.
