Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking experienced Lead Wetland Delineators to support projects across the Southwestern US. You will conduct field investigations related to wetlands, waterbodies, and vegetation mapping, with emphasis on data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in wetland field studies, including leadership for field crews, and are willing to travel up to 75% and work in diverse terrains. Remote work is eligible within the Southwestern US region.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of wetland/water field study experience.
• Lead Wetland Delineator experience: 3 of 5 years as field lead for projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Botany, Wildlife Biology, Ecology or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wetland/water jurisdictional delineation surveys and vegetation mapping.
• Assist in planning, data analysis, and report preparation under supervision.
• Use desktop tools and GPS/field data platforms to support field studies.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate field logs and data.
