Veolia is seeking a Lead Welder to oversee the fabrication and assembly of specialized water treatment equipment. The role tests advanced welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, Acetylene) and leads a welding team to meet production schedules in a manufacturing environment.

You will fabricate components for water treatment systems, mentor junior welders, and ensure safety protocols are followed while maintaining quality and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of formal apprenticeship, extensive training program, or on‑the‑job training; journey level welder experience.
• Experience in fabrication and manufacturing, preferably in the water treatment or related industry.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and materials used in water treatment systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, inspect, and direct the work of shop weldteam.
• Forecast labor hours and initiate material orders.
• Interpret material specifications and select appropriate materials for projects.
• Mentor and onboard new team members; provide hands‑on training.
