Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength seeks a weld lead at the Ramsey, MN facility to supervise the MIG/Pulse welding area, coach operators, and ensure safety, productivity and quality in daily production.

Responsibilities include training staff, setting up equipment, meeting production schedules, completing paperwork, and coordinating with other departments. The role requires 3–5 years welding experience and leadership with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years MIG/Pulse welding experience; Life Fitness-specific welding preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Read prints/work instructions.
• Effective English communication; give clear direction to team.
• Proficient computer skills including Oracle and email.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct the work of department employees in responsibilities and safe procedures.
• Perform welding functions and operate department equipment as needed.
• Promote adherence to production schedule to maintain inventory levels.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Perform accurate Oracle transactions.
• Coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Report shortages, quality issues, safety hazards and performance issues to supervisor.
• Operate forklift, hoist and pallet jack.
