Qualifications

• Valid welding certifications such as AWS CWI or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes, and safety regulations (ASME, AWS).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily welding activities on mechanical projects to ensure adherence to plans and specs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to welders, including training on techniques and safety.
• Monitor welding quality and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan schedules, allocate resources, and resolve technical issues.
• Enforce strict safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings on site.
• Maintain accurate records of welding activities, weld logs, inspections, and certifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting welding equipment and processes to optimize productivity and quality.
