Job summary

Pro Mechanical is seeking a Foreman in Port Lavaca, TX to supervise field crews and coordinate daily production activities on construction projects. You will read plans, guide crew performance, and ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to train new workers while maintaining site communications with superintendents and clients. On-site work and adherence to project timelines are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers and prioritize work.
• Organizes, supervises, leads and trains crew members to complete projects on time and under budget.
• Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
• Assist in schedule development and budget time to adhere to schedule; identify potential change orders.
• Communicate delays or emergencies to the Superintendent and PM; conduct jobsite orientation and train new workers.
• Instruct and train employees and ensure their safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and report problems to the project manager or safety director.
• Promote and comply with company safety policies and disciplinary procedures.
• Enforce client-required safety policies; conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Daily reporting of time, progress and materials; maintain professional relations with owners and inspectors.
• Proficient at reading Isometric drawings; motivate workers and lead by example.
• Ability to compute basic numbers, read scales and use simple fractions; work well under pressure and within timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers and prioritizes work.
• Organizes, supervises, leads and trains crew members to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames, on time and under budget.
• Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines. Implement better methods of production in all aspects of your job.
• Assist in schedule development and effectively budget time to adhere to schedule. Identifying potential change orders.
• Efficiently communicates with the Superintendent any delays, and/or emergencies at the job site; works with PM to resolve issues to comply with budget and schedule. Conduct jobsite orientation and train and mentor new workers.
• Instruct and train employees and ensure the safety of the workers.
• Properly follows all state and federal agencies safety procedures; brings problems to the attention of the project manager, safety director or HR manager.
• Promotes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
• Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures. Conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Daily reporting of time, progress and materials; significant project facts, events, and conditions must be reported. Maintain professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public and company personnel.
• Proficient at reading Isometric drawings.
• Ability to motivate workers, lead by example, and communicate effectively.
