Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. is seeking an hourly shop welder to lead, train and mentor junior mechanics in the welding department, performing critical weld and flat weld assemblies.

You will interpret shop documents, perform plasma cutting on galvanized and stainless steel panels, and execute MIG welds for water-tight joints under engineering guidance. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and lean principles within a shift-based work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to mentor and train Mechanic II and Mechanic III Welders.
• Proficient with MIG welding & Plasma cutting process and equipment.
• Read measuring devices: weld gage, inclinometer & tape measure.
• Able to read and understand BAC shop documents – Submittals, BoM’s.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and mentor junior mechanics in the welding department.
• Weld critical welds and perform MIG welds on galvanized and stainless steel.
• Ensure accuracy of work, maintain pace, and follow safety rules.
