Job summary

R-V Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lead Welder/Fitter to safely prepare alloys for fabrication, welding, and fitting. This role combines individual contribution with people leadership to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

The candidate should have substantial welding/fitting experience, knowledge of welding processes, and the ability to read blueprints and WPS/QC plans. The position entails mentoring peers, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes.

Qualifications

• Formal training in Welding Technology or 5+ years of practical welding & fabrication experience
• Excellent ability to read and interpret drawings, work orders, and procedures
• Ability to train and mentor team members and lead on safety and quality initiatives
• Familiar with ASME code requirements and welding procedures

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage team to achieve safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals
• Direct welding and fitting activities per drawings and process sheets
• Review and communicate risks, lessons learned, and acceptance criteria
• Support interviewing and training of new staff as needed
• Collaborate with engineering and coordinating staff on processes and QMS
