Responsibilities

• Oversees work of all department employees.
• Manages time, shift coverage, work assignments and performance.
• Addresses minor discipline and coordinates with HR as needed.
• Reviews production schedules and monitors staffing, outputs and downtime for efficiency.
• Facilitates production order priorities to meet customer shipment dates.
• Assists with training and orientation for new team members.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment within the department.
• Ensures safety, housekeeping, and production targets are met.
• Conducts quality checks and addresses defects; assists in troubleshooting.
• Manages inventory and ensures timely orders for production goals.
• Reports when goals are unmet and supports countermeasure development.
• Coordinates with Maintenance and other departments to resolve issues safely and promptly.
• Collaborates with leadership to coordinate inter-departmental activities and meet deadlines.
