Job summary

Knightscope, headquartered in Sunnyvale, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own electrical design across hardware programs from concept through production. You will lead system design, battery selection, wire harnessing, and integration with mechanical and software teams in a fast-paced, gate-driven environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in product development with independent ownership of electromechanical hardware programs.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through production, preferably with wearables or body-worn devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive electrical design and integration across hardware programs through all product development phases.
• Evaluate and integrate electrical components, sensors, and compute modules.
• Define power requirements and design harnesses for efficient power distribution.
• Own full electrical scope including CPU/GPU compute modules, batteries, and thermal management.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams to resolve cross-functional tradeoffs.
• Develop tests, fixtures, and validation activities to ensure product performance.
