Lancaster’s Custom Dock & Lift Systems, Inc. in Troutman, NC is seeking a Construction Estimator – Lead High-End Waterfront and Outdoor Service Builds to transform complex architectural visions into actionable financial plans for elite waterfront structures.

You will drive the bidding process, collaborate with project teams, and mentor others in unique marine construction methodologies while delivering precise estimates for high-end docks, decks, and shoreline projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or closely related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and structural drawings.
• Strong Excel and estimating/project management software skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bidding deadlines with attention to detail.
• Excellent vendor negotiation and leadership/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate cost estimates for high-end docks, decks, and shoreline structures to ensure profitability.
• Perform precise quantity take-offs from plans to minimize waste.
• Analyze blueprints to define project scopes and identify potential structural hurdles.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing and quality.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure seamless handoffs from bid to build.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and project risks during preconstruction.
• Maintain documentation of pricing trends to refine future bids.
