Job summary

SLR Consulting (US) seeks a mid- to senior-level Water & Wastewater Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team across North America. You will mentor junior staff and progressively assume team leadership while working on industrial wastewater treatment projects, mine water management, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll evaluate treatment technologies, conduct pilot studies, and provide design, startup, and optimization support through full project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• PE licensure preferred.
• 6+ years of industrial wastewater treatment engineering experience.
• Experience with regulatory agencies and clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate wastewater treatment challenges and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Perform process evaluations, feasibility studies, bench-scale testing, and pilot studies.
• Develop engineering designs for treatment systems with PFDs, hydraulics, equipment, piping, specs.
• Assess and troubleshoot existing systems; support operations and compliance.
• Lead field investigations, startup, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with operators, regulators, contractors, and project teams.
• Mentor junior staff and lead technical tasks.
• Develop long-term client relationships as trusted advisor.
