SLR Consulting (US) in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our growing office. You will work on industrial wastewater treatment, water quality, permitting, and remediation projects across North America, collaborating with experienced engineers and scientists to evaluate treatment technologies and support engineering design.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering with environmental or wastewater focus.
• 1–3 years of consulting, industrial wastewater, or environmental engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to perform field assignments including sampling, inspections, and pilot testing.

Mansioni

• Work with clients across industries on water quality, wastewater treatment, permitting, and remediation projects.
• Support surface water discharge permitting, mixing zone studies, and regulatory compliance assessments.
• Analyze wastewater treatment performance, monitor data, and contribute to reports and recommendations.
• Review regulations and permits for applicability to client operations.
• Assist with design of wastewater, stormwater, and soil/groundwater remediation systems.
• Develop drawings and specifications, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluate treatment technologies for various applications, including bench- and pilot-scale testing.
• Conduct field investigations of wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, and soil.
• Participate in construction observation, startup, commissioning, and optimization under senior engineers.
• Collaborate with operators, regulators, and project teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
