Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a mid- to senior-level Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our team. You will mentor junior staff and increasingly take on leadership responsibilities while delivering solutions for industrial, mining, and municipal wastewater challenges.

The role spans from evaluating treatment technologies to pilot studies, detailed design, construction support, startup, and optimization across North America. Strong communication and PE licensure are required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
6+ years of industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Strong communication and team collaboration.
Willing to travel in US/Canada.

Responsibilities

Evaluate wastewater treatment challenges across industrial, mining, municipal, and commercial sectors.
Perform evaluations, bench tests, and pilot studies to optimize technologies.
Develop engineering designs including PFDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment specs.
Troubleshoot existing systems and support regulatory compliance.
Lead field investigations, startup, and commissioning of facilities.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
