Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as Water Treatment Operator or equivalent.
• Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License to be maintained throughout employment; HazMat endorsements preferred.
• State Water Resources controls board Grade T-3 Water Treatment Operator Certificate required.
• State Water Resources Control Board Grade D-2 Water Distribution Operator Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Train and lead staff in maintenance of automatic control systems, valves, and related equipment.
• Monitor telemetry system at City yard and at water treatment plants, pumps, wells, and reservoirs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and associated equipment; inspect facilities and pumping operations.
• Maintain written records of work and resources; review invoices and address deficiencies with contractors.
